Imported in To Australia last year and garaged until now, this (running) Kombi is looking for its first Australian owner to register it and show it our beautiful country. This is already listed for cheap, but I am very open to offers!
Cons:
To have it registered you will need to replace the ignition barrel and repair the brakes.
There is also minor surface rust on the edges of many of the panels, but there are NO HOLES or structurally damaging implications caused by the rust.
The hinges for the front doors will need to be replaced, but the doors continue to lock and unlock.
The steering column, pedals and other metal parts of the interior could use new paint.
Pros:
This Kombi turns on and runs like a beast. The engine has not been rebuilt but it has been meticulously cared for and upgraded part by part. A new battery has also just been installed. There is only one very very slow leak the appears to be from the sump- but it left no stain on the garage floor where it was parked so it’s possible this leak was repaired before being imported but the sump has not been cleaned.
The interior is almost immaculate, the beautiful cream and green seats are not torn or burned and only have slight stains that will easily come out.
Comes with import documents!
Overall this car needs some minor work done, but other then the two things stopping it from being registered (mentioned previously), she’s pretty much ready to go. As a project car she will not require as much work as many other Kombis out there, and if you are not interested in restoring it completely then she is ready to go wherever you wish to take her.
