Betty is a German-born 1977 Kombi, perfect for everything from a week staycation to a day trip to the beach.
She has been lovingly restored piece by piece with:
- complete strip down to rolling shell, added 2 bottom rear quarters, a battery tray, 2 rear wheel arches, a new front panel and replaced all doors & tailgate with rust-free ones imported from USA.
- She then had a full bare metal re-spray in classic Neptune blue and pastel white.
- all window rubbers replaced and new door seals
- reconditioned engine with new seals, gaskets, clutch, gear shift, alternator, starter motor, fuel pump and carburettor.
- she was a walk-through but converted to bench seat in the front to maximise seating.
- all brakes are new with callipers, discs and pads on front. New shoes and drums on rear.
- new front and rear wheel bearings and new rear shocks
- 5x new white wall tyres
- leisure battery with 2 usb sockets for modern life, 12v car cigarette lighter socket and battery charge indicator
- 2x LED lights linked to leisure battery, 2x battery LED lights
- I will throw in the 40l fridge however recently converted this section into shelving. Can be easily put back if you wish.
- 2 fold down bench seats meaning she can seat 8
- bespoke storage unit with live edge walnut top and knot less pine doors
- solid wood strip floor fitted and varnished
- new solid wood steering wheel

Her engine has never let me down, runs extremely well (given her overall age). Only c. 25,000 Kms on her new engine (odometer says original 130,000km since she was born).
She has a minor dint in front panel (zoom in on car park photo and you may be able to see it) and bump into the rear bumper which can be easily fixed. These have already been factored into the price but shouldn’t cost much should you wish to repair, I am also happy to arrange the repair myself for you with a trusted body shop prior to pick up.
Rego runs until May 2021 so you don’t need to worry about that any time soon.
